[속초여행] 비단우유차

먼저 속초여행을 다녀온 동생이 컨셉이 재미있다며 추천해준 공간이다. 이미 알 사람은 다 아는 매우 유명한 카페. 밀크티맛으로 유명해졌다기보다 한약방을 개조한듯한 신박한 인테리어 덕분에 인스타 스타일로 사진이 나오다보니 유명해진 것 같다. 

벽에 붙은 메뉴를 보고 주문서를 적고 작은 벨을 울리면 주문을 받으실 분이 나온다. 주문서를 주면 그에 맞춰서 냉장고에서 밀크티병을 꺼내준다. 받은 밀크티병을 들고 옆 방(?)으로 가서 병뚜껑을 직접 따고 빨대를 꽂아 마시는 구조. 새로 제조해야 하는 음료가 없다보니 주인 입장에서 아주 간편한 시스템인 것 같다. 

늘 이런지는 모르겠지만, 뭔가 카페 전체가 방치되고 있는 인상을 받았다. 가족 단위로 온 손님들은 장식품을 함부로 다루고 다른 곳에 옮겨놓으면서도 눈치를 보거나 조심스러워하지 않았다. 20대 초반으로 보이는 손님 세명은 핸드폰으로 쉴새없이 사진을 찍으면서 모든 자리를 옮겨다니고 발을 좌석 위에 올려놓기도 서슴치 않았다. 일부 몰지각한 손님이 몰렸을 때 내가 방문한 것인지도 모르겠으나, 스태프가 이 공간을 자주 정리하거나 오가는 모습이 보였다면 이 사람들이 저랬을까 싶기도 하다.

아무튼 셔터 소리에 귀가 아플 지경이라 5분을 채 앉아있지 못하고 나와야 했다. 

My brother, who went on a trip to Sokcho ahead of me, suggested this place because the concept is unusual. It seems to have become famous for the interior, which is nice for Instagram, rather than being famous for the taste of the milk tea. 

The first thing you can find as you entered there is the menu on the wall. All milk tea. You write down your order, ring a small bell, and someone comes out out of nowhere and get the paper you wrote down. You get the bottle you ordered from the fridge and go to a space with sittings. Opener and straw are ready there. It seems to be a very simple and convenient system for staffs because there is no drink to be made immediately upon receipt of an order.

I don't know this place is always like this, but I was impressed that the entire cafe was left unattended. A family who were there did not notice or be careful while dealing with ornaments and put them down randomly. Three guests in their early twenties were taking pictures with their phones and move all over the place and sometime put their feet on seats. It might be a uncommon case, but I wonder if they would do it if the staff often show up and take a look around at the space.

Anyway, the shutter sound made my ears sore, so I couldn't stay more than 5 minutes.
